Boxycharm | June 2016 Unboxing

As part of my birthday gift last month, my roommate bought me June’s Boxycharm! I’m so thrilled! I’ve really been wanting to try out this subscription, but I seriously have so many boxes right now that I thought I would wait until December when my Glossybox subscription runs out. My first Boxycharm only just arrived about a week ago and I knew I wanted to give it it’s own separate unboxing post, so here it is!!Farmacy Coconut Gel Mask Medley

My very favorite item in June’s box was this set of three gel masks made exclusively for Boxycharm! I am so looking forward to using these. I don’t know much about the brand, but I’ve seen it around on social media so I’m anxious to actually try out one of their products. The concept of this brand seems interesting to me since it really puts emphasis on this unique ingredient, Echinacea GreenEnvy, grown in upstate New York.LVX Nail Lacquer in Serene

This beautiful pastel shade of nail polish is currently on my fingernails and it’s really very adorable. I’m not familiar with the brand, but I really wanted to like it because the formula is 7 free, cruelty free, vegan, and made in the USA. Unfortunately I found it to be too viscous and sticky, almost making me suspect that it might be an old bottle of nail polish. It’s possible I didn’t shake it enough, so I’ll be using this again to see how I feel about it then.

Ofra Oil Control Pressed Powder

I don’t really have oily skin, so I don’t think I’m the best candidate for this product, but I’m going to keep it to set my nose and forehead anyway. I recently used it to set my undereyes, but it had the weirdest effect on my concealer, forming these scale like clumps of product instead of a smooth and flawless finish. I’m going to keep testing it to see if I can identify the problem.Girlactik Precise Eyeliner Marker

I love the long and flexible tip on this eyeliner! It lends to a solid swipe without bumps or deviations. Precise is the right word for it. It is also extremely pigmented and easy to manage.

Cougar Beauty Mineral Face & Body Shimmer in Diamond Kiss

This is the one product I’m not so sure about. Should I use it as a highlighter? I don’t know. I’m gonna need to play around with it some more.

In just one month, Boxycharm allowed me to test out products from several brands that I had been wanting to try. Farmacy, Ofra, and Girlactik are all brands that I would love to get more acquainted with. I also appreciate how many full-sized products were included. I think that’s a quality that really sets this box apart from other beauty subscriptions and also justifies the price point. I’m happy to say my introduction to Boxycharm was a success! Hopefully, I can actually subscribe myself at some point.
